At MHG

the “G” stands for Green, too!

MHG is committed to environmental best practices that are outlined and supported by the Direct Marketing Association. Highlights of MHG's "green" efforts are as follows:

Paper: MHG has established processes to ensure we purchase paper only from suppliers who participate in Forestry Certification Programs and follow sustainable practices that protect forest ecosystems and biodiversity.

Recycling: Naturally, MHG purchases recycled office papers, packaging and other supplies wherever possible and emphasizes electronic communications over paper notes and memos. We’re also letting the people we can influence know that recycled catalogs, mail and magazines are particularly ideal for creating new, recycled paper because of their strong, healthy fibers.

Reducing waste: In addition to standard practices such as the use of Mail Preference Services, thorough merge/purge processes, and more targeted mailing strategies, MHG encourages its clients to utilize its proprietary hygiene process called DirectMAX™. Among other things, DirectMAX™ recaptures the majority of new movers missed by National Change of Address programs (30% - 40%). This can result in reducing non-deliverable mail by more than 20% in some cases! MHG’s mail hygiene practices help dramatically in reducing wasted consumer mail.

These are just a handful of highlights about MHG’s Green Initiatives. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about what we are doing to help our industry and our planet, please contact us.
